Privacy Policy

Altaniche Pty Ltd (“Altaniche”, “we”, “us”) operates altaniche.ai and the Altaniche Learn platform (learn.altaniche.ai). Contact: privacy@altaniche.ai (our ABN is available on request). This policy is provided under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Personal information we collect

Buyer / administrator: name, work email, organisation name, purchase details. Payment card details are entered directly with our third-party payment processor and are never received or stored by Altaniche.
Learners (added by the buyer’s organisation): name, email, and training activity / completion records.
Technical: IP address, request metadata and logs (for security, rate-limiting and fraud prevention).

2. How we use it

To create and administer training portals and licences, deliver the training, process payment and issue tax invoices, send service email, maintain security and prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

3. Disclosure

We disclose personal information only to service providers who help us operate the service — including a payment processor, Australian-based hosting (located in Sydney), and a content-delivery and security provider — under contract and only as needed. Some providers may process limited data overseas; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure APP-consistent handling. We may also disclose where required or authorised by law, or to protect our rights.

4. Learner data

Learners are added by the buyer’s organisation. That organisation is responsible for its learners’ personal information and warrants it has authority to provide it to us; we handle learner records on the organisation’s behalf and will refer learner access or correction requests to that organisation.

5. Retention

We retain account and completion records while the organisation’s account is active and as needed for its compliance evidence; operational order records held at our edge provider expire automatically (currently ~90 days). We suspend rather than delete by default, and delete or de-identify personal information when no longer needed, subject to any legal retention requirement.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information (TLS in transit, least-privilege access, managed secret storage, platform hardening). No system is perfectly secure; to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for loss arising from unauthorised access that occurs despite our taking reasonable steps.

7. Access, correction and complaints

Email privacy@altaniche.ai to request access to or correction of your personal information, or to complain. If a complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

8. Cookies

Strictly-necessary cookies only (login/session); no third-party advertising cookies.

9. Changes

We may update this policy at any time; the current version and effective date above apply. Material changes will be notified through the service.
